The laboratory carried out capacity R&D for the test of mechanical performance such as tensile, bending, compression and torsion for components such as riser connectors at a water depth of 1000 meters, subsea Christmas tree connectors, subsea valves and subsea manifolds. The lab developed a loading test bed with a maximum test load of 25000kN and a  method for mechanical performance test of subsea structures.
