The laboratory carried out durability testing technology research on Tendon and umbilical cords. For Tendon’s durability test, the lab developed a four-point bending fatigue tester with a maximum outer diameter of 40 inches and four loading channels, a horizontal tensile fatigue tester with a maximum outer diameter of 60 inches, a maximum dynamic test force of ±10000kN and a maximum static test force of ±20000kN and a full-scale fatigue test method. For the durability test of umbilical cords, the lab developed a comprehensive testing machine, the only of its type in China, capable of combined loading of umbilical cords including tension, bending and compression and a dynamic fatigue test method.
